Eligibility Criteria for Students

To qualify, students must be enrolled in relevant fields, completed at least two years of study, be part of a learning group, and commit to a minimum two-month internship.

  • Enrolled in Statistics, Quantitative Economics, or Economics
  • Completed at least 2 years of undergraduate study
  • Part of a learning group with same course peers
  • Part of a learning group with same course peers

Eligibility Criteria for Organizations

To qualify, organizations must have clear data needs, commit to a two-month internship, support data collection, and be open to learning and adaptation.

  • Clearly defined data or evidence needs
  • Commitment to a minimum 2-month internship placement
  • Willingness to facilitate data collection process
  • Capacity to support data analysis and interpretation
  • Openness to organizational learning and adaptation

Obligations of RTF

Refuse to Fail commits to orienting interns, providing supervision and mentorship, facilitating data collection and analysis, and conducting sense-making workshops to ensure maximum impact from the program.

Ensure that the interns are well oriented on the organizations data needs

Supervise the interns to ensure appropriate data collection and management plans are developed

Refuse To Fail will attach a mentor to each of the interns to ensure appropriate data is collected and analyzed

Refuse To Fail will facilitate at least 1 sense making workshop for organizations to enable them validate data, ensure its well interpreted and draw stories of meaning from the data
